Agro Entperprise Centre/FNCCI and Nepal Smallholders Irrigation Market Iniciative (SIMI) had entered into an agreement to Support on various program of Market Information Service for SIMI Nepal. In this regard, Nepal SIMI Regional Office, Butwal had organised an ICT Training Program on 28-29 March 2008 at Gyawali Complex, Butwal to the Maketing and Planning Committee (MPC) and Telecetenters.
15 Participants were participated in the training program. Among 15 Participants, 12 are from Marketing and Planning Committee (MPC) of Palpa, Kapilbastu and Syanjya 3 are from Telecentres of Arghakhachi, Kaski and Nawalparasi. |

| Project Complition Workshop - December 25, 2007 |
Agro Enterprise Center (AEC), agricultural wing of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) was established under cooperative agreement between FNCCI and USAID/Nepal. Since its establishment in September 1991, it has been working for Agro Business Development and Promotion representing the private sector of Nepal.
During last 16 years, the Center has played a vital role in commercialization and trade promotion, policy advocacy and market information service of some agro commodities such as Floriculture, Tea, Coffee, Honey, Vegetable, Vegetable Seeds, Non Timber Forest Products (NTFPs), Cardamom etc.
USAID/Nepal has been supporting AEC/FNCCI technically and financially as a major donor throughout the period. As USAID's direct project support terminating after completing the existing Cooperative Agreement with FNCCI by Dec 31, 2007. AEC/FNCCI is planning to hold a 'Project Completion Workshop' to appraise the business stakeholders, planners, government officials and donor community about AEC's contribution, lessons learned and future plan. AEC/FNCCI also intends to receive suggestions for AEC's future role from the participants during the workshop. |

| Interaction Program on The Study on "Identification of Policy, Institutional Constraints and Administrative Issues Related to Operation of Small Scale Enterprise Managed by Woman Heads, Dalit,Janajati - December 17, 2007 |
| AEC has been involved in various studies such as Trade Competitiveness of various agro commodities, Administrative and policy constraints faced by small farmers, Issues related to Non Timber Forest Products (NTFP) etc. A study on 'Identification of Policy and Institutional Constraints and Administrative Issues Related to Operation of Small Scale Enterprises managed by Women Heads, Dalit, Janajati and Minority in Kapilbastu, Bardiya and Dang Districts' was recently carried out by AEC. Agribusiness and Trade Promotion Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd. (ABTRACO) was assigned to carry out the study, final report of which has been submitted to AEC. |

| Information and Communication Training Program - November 4, 2007 |
| The ICT Training Program was organised by SIMI Nepal, Regional office, Pokhara on 30th and 31st of October 2007 at Tirupati Hotel, Prithvi Chowk, Pokhara. 13 participants of Marketing and Planning Committee (MPCs) of Lamjung, Syangya and Tanahu were trained about the Information and Communication Technology, AEC/FNCCI's Market Information Service and tought practically how to extract Daily Wholesale Market Price Bulletin from the website www.agripricenepal.com and trained how to put the informations online in the e-haat bazaar www.b2b.com.np by the AEC's Staffs in the training program. Beside that they were also trained about how to creat the email account in the internet and use of search engine like www.google.com. |
